INSHAPE IMPACT Mini-Grant

Start next school year out with something fresh and exciting for your students! Never filled out a grant before? No problem. We’re here to help you succeed! Just give it a try and feel free to ask questions. We can help with revisions later if needed.

The application is quick and easy, so act now! Here’s the scoop:

  • Description: A one-time grant (up to $500) to support impact programs in health and physical education in Indiana K-12 schools. Funds must be used to improve at least one primary objective during the school year.
  • Timetable: Rolling submission deadlines on the 14th and 28th of each month. You receive notice within two weeks!
  • Description of Grant: Grants will be awarded in the form of an e-gift card for purchases up to $500 at GOPHER Sport, Play with a Purpose, SPARK, Moving Minds, STEM supplies, and/or GOPHER Performance.
  • Eligibility: All INSHAPE members in good standing are eligible. Board members and Grant Council members are not eligible.

Are your needs greater than $500? The health.moves.minds program has a fundraising platform to support your school and community. health.moves.minds is a joint program of INSHAPE and SHAPE America to teach students to take care of their mind and body; being kind to others. Funds raised are used to purchase physical education equipment.

Winners Drink Milk & Fuel Up to Play 60

The American Dairy Association of Indiana offers a variety of grant offerings from funds for school-led wellness initiatives to equipment to expand student access to healthy meals.

Eli Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship Program

This Endowment will offer up to 100 grants of $12,000 to Indiana’s K-12 public and private school educators (including teachers, school counselors, principals, assistant principals and media specialists) for projects of the individual’s choice. They encourage teams to submit collaborative proposals. Applicants must have held a position as a teacher, school counselor, principal, assistant principal or media specialist ; be currently employed full time; and be Indiana-certified in grades K-12. Cap reached.

Caesars Foundation

Specifically for those working in Hammond, IN; Elizabeth, IN, Caesars Foundation is a private foundation funded by resorts owned or operated by the Caesars group. The Foundation is the entity through which Caesars Entertainment funds programs and projects of $5,000 or more, as well as not-for-profit giving requirements imposed by certain operating jurisdictions. Deadline dates are August 31 and March 31.

Forum Credit Union Grant

Opens June 1st, Closes September 1st $25,000 total grants, $2,500 per applicant cap.

SHAPE America

SHAPE America offers several grants and scholarships to provide much funds and professional development opportunities to schools to enhance health and physical education programs, while helping teachers continue their studies and build expertise that improves student outcomes.
